Facilitated in part through 11 international offices across Africa, Eurasia and Latin America, Dubai International Chamber is working to identify potential new markets, forge new economic partnerships, increase trade, and help members take their businesses to even greater heights.
In February 2022, the Dubai International Chambers board of directors approved a new strategy for the next three years (2022-2024), focused on strengthening Dubai’s position as a global business centre, attracting multinational companies to the emirate and supporting local companies with international expansion.
The goal is to:
The strategy identifies 30 priority international markets that offer huge economic potential to expand the emirate’s trade partnerships, highlighting competitiveness in key sectors such as trade, infrastructure, logistics, digital economy, retail and manufacturing among others.
“His Highness Sheikh Mohammed has identified that international trade is at the centre of Dubai’s future economy and I am delighted to be leading the team at Dubai International Chamber to meet its vision of increasing trade between the emirate and the rest of the world.
The chamber is pivotal to meeting the challenges that lie ahead. The global pandemic has taught us the importance of creating new and resilient global supply chains and the importance of bilateral trade as the essential underpinning of tomorrow’s economy.
A main aspect of what we do is focused on identifying emerging markets of promise that can help Dubai grow, while enabling the emirate to reciprocate by helping these markets expand into new areas, with dubai as both the entry point and strategic base.
This is a certainly an exciting new era and I am looking forward to being at the helm of forging a new a direction and leading the team at Dubai International Chamber.”
